• Thin client: MicroStrategy provides the full range of query, reporting and analysis functionality via an all-HTML thin client. This removes the security risks associated with downloaded client applications or applets, and ensure compatibility with any current or future web browser.
• Clustering: Each MicroStrategy Intelligence Server and MicroStrategy Web Server can be clustered to support large numbers of concurrent users. MicroStrategy will transparently distribute load between clustered machines while appearing as a single unit to the end user.
• Sophisticated Caching: The MicroStrategy platform uses advanced caching techniques to eliminate redundant processing and maximize performance. The platform implements caching at five levels within the system.
• Self-tuning Architecture: The MicroStrategy platform eliminates bottlenecks by dynamically allocating resources to overloaded components. Different pieces of analysis require different distributions of computing resources. For instance, a report that uses advanced statistics needs more computing cycles from the analytical engine within the MicroStrategy Intelligence Server. The MicroStrategy platform can automatically recognize such situations and reallocate computing resources to components that need them most.
