Effective Data Compression
MicroStrategy Mobile optimizes the use of sparse memory resources of BlackBerry smartphones. Device memory and network bandwidth are conserved through the use of an efficient compression algorithm that can achieve compression ratios of 10 to 1. Report data is stored in a compressed format on the phone, and only decompressed when a user opens the report. Security profiles, access controls, and security filters defined in the MicroStrategy metadata are seamlessly transferred over to the MicroStrategy Mobile application on the BlackBerry, so business users see only the data they are authorized to see.

MicroStrategy Mobile can be installed and configured in a wireless manner through the use of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. IT policies that control the Mobile Web server, authentication information, and BI applications can be configured and enforced without requiring end user interaction.
