User identity is confirmed at the time of subscription, and platform security mechanisms such as security filters, privileges and Access Control Lists are enforced during content generation and delivery.

Subscription Through Portal or MicroStrategy Web
Using an intuitive web-based interface, your users can easily define the personalization, frequency and delivery mechanism for their own information. Email subscription is also available to MicroStrategy Web users. Web-based self-subscription enables deployment to large global communities with minimal IT administration.

Profile-based Personalization
MicroStrategy Narrowcast Server provides deep, data-driven personalization that is determined by user preferences, security profiles and advanced analytics. This user-level personalization determines the content and exception conditions, controls access to information sources and incorporates the appropriate analysis from terabytes of data. Personalized data is delivered in the format requested (HTML, XLS, PDF, CSV, XML, etc.) and includes support for dynamic functionality in output formats like DTHML and Excel spreadsheets with macros.

Scalable Delivery and Alerting
MicroStrategy Narrowcast Server administrators can create content once and then distribute this content to the broadest range of user devices - including printers, faxes, emails, file servers, portals and mobile devices. The MicroStrategy platform can easily generate 100,000 personalized reports per hour from a single server. The sophisticated message management and XML-based architecture ensure that the information will be formatted appropriately for any selected device.
