TSA saves millions with BI
The federal Transportation Security Administration
(TSA) estimates that it will have saved approximately $100 million over a two
year period by using business intelligence software to more effectively manage
its workers. According to TSA spokesman Greg Soule, the agency is estimating
that its MicroStrategy based Performance Information Management System (PIMS)
will save the funds from the October 2006 installation date through October
2008. TSA has been able to reallocate the saved funds to boost its security
programs, including the training of explosive experts.

Bank Austria Selects MicroStrategy Business
Intelligence Software for Reporting and Analytics
Bank Austria has selected MicroStrategy to enhance
its reporting and analysis capabilities. Bank Austria, a member of UniCredit
Group – one of the leading European banking groups – plans to build a more
efficient enterprise data warehouse for its business and its subsidiaries,
Osterreich AG and functional subsidiaries. With the new data warehouse , Bank
Austria expects to increase user efficiency, as well as improve business
performance and customer satisfaction. The MicroStrategy platform will enable
Bank Austria end users of all levels to report on and analyse large volumes of
data. Happy with the decision to select MicroStrategy, Mr Zdrazil, Bank Austria
Manager, commented:

The latest release of MicroStrategy Mobile, which
allows mobile workers to access BI reports and dashboards directly on their
